Good news. Zoe’s surgery went well today. During the bronchoscopy the doctor found that there was no collapsed trachea and that the cricoid ring was narrow. The doctor performed the cricoid split and inserted the larger ventilator tube. The surgery took about 45 minutes. As Leslie mentioned in the last email, Zoe will be under medication that will keep her in paralysis for the next 10 days so that the cricoid ring can heal back properly. We saw Zoe after her surgery, and she looked peaceful.

Also, we’ve finally dusted off our html skills and gotton Zoe’s website up and running. I suppose we’ll keep it up-to-date as much as we can until Zoe’s old enough to take over the site – probably by age 3.
